Edward R. Murrow was one of the “greats” in American Journalism, a forefather of news broadcasting who left his mark on both the industry and the times.

Excerpts from his singular career include broadcasting from London while the bombs fell during World War II; his on air take down of Senator Joseph McCarthy and the House Un-American Activities Committee; and his revelation of the horrors at the Buchenwald concentration camp in Germany while he was embedded in General Patton’s Third Army.
